MAMMALIAN CELL CULTURE – PRODUCTION MANAGER / SR. MANAGER

This person will be responsible for developing, coordinating and scaling –up  mammalian cell culture related processes for the production of recombinant therapeutic proteins and / or monoclonal antibodies in a GMP facility.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

M.Sc /M.Tech in any area of Biological Sciences / Process Engineering  with 8 – 10 years of experience in the area of mammalian cell culture production in companies engaged in production of vaccines or other therapeutics from mammalian cell cultures.

EXPERIENCE

A thorough knowledge of GMP, a good awareness of aseptic handling techniques for running bioreactors and experience in conducting scale-up of processes for mammalian cell culture batches that are transferred from R&D scale, are essential. Hands-on experience in running bioreactors at 500L scale or higher for biologicals in a GMP facility is an essential pre-requisite. Experience of having managed cell culture teams and an exposure to regulatory requirements for mammalian cell culture based production activities is desirable.
